A Dying Race was founded as a three piece band in April 2002 in Napanee, Ontario by Terry (guitar) and Ogie (bass). During the first four months the band would write, produce, and release their independent self-titled
debut album. The band would then tour Ontario and Quebec constantly learning the ropes and building a solid fan base while overcoming the many hardships that accompany any self-sustained band.
During the writing of Post Victory Times songwriter Terry Benn was becoming more influenced by the early-80s punk movement, which stemmed from roots already planted firmly in mid-90s skate-punk. “PVT”, (the newest
ADR release) would become a self-testament to current social and political issues with the anger of the Regan days recreated. The band would sign a distribution deal to release the album on Lonely Tree Records in late fall of 2004.
Shortly after ADR would undergo a line-up change. By swapping drummers and adding a second guitar they would intensify their already manic sound and provide more depth musically. As a four piece ADR toured Eastern Canada in spring of 2005
putting the band over the 200 live performances mark. With innovative new songs in the works and new line-up the band will release a free sampler in spring of 2006 followed by a full length album later in the year.
